Sendang Gila and Tiu Kelep Waterfalls
LOMBOK TRAVEL GUIDE – Sendang Gila Waterfall is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in northern Lombok. Refresh yourself in the invigorating waters of Senaru in the midst of lush grenery with beautiful volcanic black rocks strewn on both sides.
Sendang Gila waterfall is about 40m high, is 600m above sea level and in the region of Mount Rinjani National Park. It is accessible from Bangsal in 2 hours by car and 20 minutes walk from the village of Senaru.
You can cross the valley and descend the 315 steps along the irrigation canals. Maybe you will even meet some monkeys on the way!

The entrace fee is a couple of Rp 10.000. Typical bathing attire is long shorts and a t-shirt, event for women! Planning is necessary. Locals like to enjoy a picnic in Sendang Gila, where there is a relaxed family atmosphere. You immediately feel the invigorating freshness when discovering this power waterfall.
The locals like to believe that the waterfall has a magical element ! It is enough to go behind the waterfall to make you a year younger!
If you have mor time and you like hiking, you can continue your journey for another 40/60 minutes to reach Air Terjun Tiu Kelep, a beautiful swimming pool downstream from the Sendang Gila falls.
