 Nisa Kapa is the hidden Paradise Island in Indonesia. The Island Located in Bima, West Nusa Tenggara. Some of Bima tourism officer prepare to cross by boat to Nisa Kapa Island. This journey must take about four hundred meters from Pai beach. To go there only ten minutes by motor boat. Best time to go Nisa Kapa if the water level has gone down. If not it, forget it.
Nisa Kapa Island is popular as island that has many snakes live in there, this island in Bima area. That name in Bima language mean pulau kapal (boat Island). No one know how the history of this name. Many people just said if any boat washed ashore at long time ago.

This island is rock hill and tall about fifteen to twenty meters. Wide this island fifty meter and length more than one hundred meters. Near that island have rock as wide one hundred meters at east. These island also any two Jepun trees (Jenamawa local name) beside green root.
According Sueb Muhamadiah Nur, actually at long time ago in there are chisel stone but can understand what actually mean at the stone. This stone had broken by people at another village that seek precious stone. Because some people believe the stone is antique. In fact is nothing. That is so pity.
History sign had gone. Because that is possible is an epigraphy. Any story tells about this island if any parent brings their daughter sailing to Makassar city (at Sulawesi Island) in the past. But her parent had dead and bury in this island.

One boat can bring ten people. Usually they are until four hours in there. Even though they are came back again in another time. They are showing their picture that taken came in before.
Special attraction Nisa Kapa is many sea snakes live in there. They are so many even until thousand snake. The snakes stay at rock at island side. For take them is easy and they are not wild snake. Every body can take snake. Even though just for fun take as game. Some time the snake make as necklace or take at their trouser. Like shower by Abdul Gafur and Hamdiah.
Special identity sea snake is their head is oval and the tail like fin fish. They skin not scale. They are active and fast move if in the water. They are so fast gone in the stone at the sea water.
Special species like snake with black skin zebra similar motif usually appear at 17.30 after noon. ”Their appearance to get little fish for food,’ Muhamadiah said.
To get these snake more easily in rainy season. They are usually at grass above at up hill. This snake is amphibian animal. When fisherman to take fish in the night they are following light boat and some time get into the boat.
For give protect their habitat is take regulation that take away from the island forbid. Beside local people believed if the snakes have any magic if somebody takes out of island them.
Based people story, have some one take home the snake and than his wife sick and often showing out her tongue. Another story is any people that lost her necklace in this island at lebaran last year. She is so annoyed about it happen and slices the snake that she takes. Three days after that she is dead.
That’s way many people in Pai village so afraid about the truth this story. Like Nurdin Abidin, one of people in there not dare with this snake although they are said tame snake.
According Muhamadiah, Nisa Kapa is more popular than before as Snake Island just in five year ago. Because, at the time to Pai village more easy better than before. Since road way from Sape was open. Sape is big village in the south of Pai village.
This condition makes many people easy to visit the location. Much less in lebaran moment many people that visiting this place until six thousand people. According Abdul Gafar, one day can take one million rupiahs from their ticket. Tariff for one person is one thousand rupiahs. And tariff for boat is two thousand rupiahs per person.
Nisa Kapa actually was famous as tourism object when they are young old. Like Siti Hawa story that she was go there when she get date with her husband. They are get date while looking for crab. Same with Nuraini story also, she goes there with Jamaluddin that now as her husband. ”That’s story every young couple go there while get a date,” said Nuraini with laugh remember about it.
Nurdin Ahmad have plan will to put this island as special destination. Nurdin self just go there in the first time since he as head Bima tourism office about one year ago.
More easy people turn up to motor boat better than build ladder. The motor boat tall is about twenty meters. Because this time, to get into motor boat like a climber.
How to Nisa Kapa?
As long as Bima famous as transit place to Komodo national park at Komodo Island from Mataram or Bali by plane. They are potentials guest because from many over seas people that can take shop much money. From Bima they usually continued to Komodo Island by cruise or public boat through Sape harbor at east Bima.
Adventurer guest custom is by cruise from Beno Bali. The journey of cruise is visit to many destination objects like Gili Trawangan Island, Gili Meno, Gili Air at Lombok. To continued to Moyo Island at Sumbawa and Satonda and Gili Banta at Dompu. In Gili Banta usually they are dive or snorkel to see beautiful view at under water.
To Nisa Kapa if we are from Bima first time to Sape. Because this route better compare another ways. The distance is forty two kilometers to south. If ride by car our self just need one hours.
From Sape to Pai village is about thirty five kilometers need one hour too. But if they ride to go there by public transportation (bus) commonly more than one hour. Tariff the bus is one person ten thousand rupiahs. Condition road to Pai village is many curves, slope and turn down.
At north route is more far compare south. Because Bima to Wera distance two hour and to Pai from Wera need about one hour. But actually this route more than bus.
To Nisa Kapa don’t forget to bring Japan sandals (open toe slipper) or rubber shoes. This is for walking on the rock at beach. If not with sandal our foot can be torn by rock or some cockle shells. (Supriyantho Khafid).
OTHER OBJECTS
Near Nisa Kapa have Sangiang Pulo. North of Sangiang have active volcano. Nisa Kapa distance to Sangiang about three hours by motor boat. This Sangiang Island is at Wera regent. Wera regent distance about sixty kilometers north from Bima city. In Wera have many tropic forests, nice peanut plantation back ground. Add beautiful beach white sands, original water and nice for swim or surf sport.
Sangiang volcano tall is 1.842,05 meter from sea surface and wide two hundred fifteen kilometers. To climbing start from Toropodo village that go there by boat about two hours from Wera. To climb to Doro Api hill needed as long as nine hours.
This climbing has many routes. From south follow Sori Mbori Alu River cross to Sori Miro River. To get there must be pass Wadu Pela Ma Awa, Wadu Pela Ma Ese continued to Sori Miro until up hill.
To looking for larva current that out of Doro Api hill in the east, must through Sori Bearno valley and Sori Oi valley. This route can reach from north (Oi Menanga village or Doro Dungga) to south. If from east route the route is through Sempa Seda village to west.

At Bima government divided three tourism destinations. That is Tambora Mountain natural tourism, sea tourism at Bima bay and Sape bay. At Bima bay have Wadu Paa (epigraphy stone) archaeological site. This stone chiseled for praying believe pre Islam religion came in.
About four kilometers at south at Bima bay have Asa kota castle. The castle made by big stone that stacks wide five hectare. Probably that’s Dutch heritage.
