Lombok Tourism Depend by Bali Tourism? |

 Tourism at Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) depend Bali. Overloading tourist in Bali not always go to Lombok caused by transportation access. For this conditions, Lombok Need International airport, so flight fro other country have direct flight to Lombok.
Head on Duty Culture and Tourism of NTB, Muhammad Nur said that Lombok - Bali is not so far, but Overloading tourist from Bali have no good access to Lombok.
As long 2006, tourist to Lombok about 426.577 persons or raising 1.500 persons compare with 2005 its amount 425.000 persons. Even, NTB haver target tourit at 2007 can reach 546.000 persons.
Nur say that for make Europe Tourists, consequenced by embargo for Indonesia flight to Europe, Goverment must develop good see transpotations from Bali to Lombok. Before this route have two express ship, Mabua Express and Bounty what does service Benoa (Bali) - Lembar (Lombok) or Benoa - Gili Meno.
Nur also hope that hospitality industry didn't panic with this situations because, Local Tourist (From other region) have significant rasing. The most important is keep tourism image in Lombok.
Departement Culture and Tourism also give more attention to Religi Tours as asked by Kuala Lumpur and Brunei Darussalam. This is important for Lombok tourism not depent by europe and Bali. |
