The beauty of nature is spread across Banyuwangi from the west to the east. Mountains, forests and beaches mark the landscape of the regency. For instance, Ijen Crater, in the western part of Banyuwangi is famous for its beautiful crater lake, the traditional sulfur miners who amazingly climb up and down the slope of Mount Merapi, and the plantations that cover the Crater’s slope.  The National Park of Meru Betiri is famous for its Java Tiger and turtles.  These locations form the center of the Tourism Developed area which is called the Diamond Triangle, which connects one Tourism Object to another.

Invasive Plants Species and the Competitiveness of Wildlife Tourism Destination: A Case study of Sadengan Feeding Area at Alas Purwo National Park.

Wildlife tourism has been promoted at Alas Purwo National Park (APNP) since the national park was identified as one of the center of biodiversity in Indonesia. Sadengan feeding area (SFA) was established and opened for wildlife tourist destination since 1970 due to the animal diversity and abundance. The quality of destination has been recognized as a main factor for tourism destination competitiveness.

Best time to go to Ijen Crater is in the early morning, it's about 4 a.m., after a few hours of half sleep. In the morning we  can find sulphur collector begin their job. The silence was magnificent. The only sound heard at these heights was the  soughing of the wind in the cemara trees. Audible for several kilometres, the wind could be heard whistling around the rim of  the caldera, sometimes taking a full minute to reach us.

As dawn approached we set up cameras overlooking the plateau to the west. Immediately in front of us stood the monstrous  crater of Mt Raung, which at 3,332m is the highest peak in the vicinity and among the tallest in Java. Raung is an active and  dangerous volcano, which is known to erupt regularly.Prior to 1838 the crater probably contained a lake, which would have  caused extensive flood damage during eruptions. Nowadays, however, the crater floor is dry. From the air, the gaping summit  of Raung presents an awesome spectacle, the sheer crater walls plunging half a kilometre into the heart of the mountain.

G-Land located in the southern part of East Java. The G-Land derived from Grajagan, the name of the particular spot (and also the name of a village nearby) at Plengkung where huge waves can be found. July to August would be the best time to surf.

Condition of surrounding areas since the camp is exclusively situated near the jungle where there are big trees as well as many bushes spread out everywhere plus a humid air resulted by such natural circumstances.
