Jakarta,the capital city of Indonesia, begin to developt Indonesia Tourism Destination on 2009. The biggest city which located in west of Java, optimism that income from tourism will up until Rp 1.6 trillon. The Jakarta administration is targeted to get income from tourism until Rp 1.6 trillion from tourism through its "Jakarta Tourism Expo 2009" in a number of regions, including Surabaya, a tourism official said.
"The target is higher than that of last year which was Rp1.5 trillion," head of the Jakarta Tourism and Culture Service Arief Budhiman said during the launch of "Jakarta Tourism Expo 2009" at the Paragon Hotel here on Thursday.
He said that Jakarta had up to June 2009 earned an income of Rp 800 million. The income was expected to increase thanks to the holding of the "Jakarta Food Festival."
"In order to achieve our target, we actively conducted road-shows in a number of big cities in the country and overseas," he said. |
