In long years a go, Dutch explorers brought Arabica trees to Java - Indonesia and the small economy soon became almost totally supported by the even smaller bean. Java Coffee plantation spread from west to east. Most populat java coffe is torabica, robusta and arabica. Some times, java coffe mixed with original ginger, kayumanis (cinnamon) and others spices. Java Coffee is one of part International Tourist who visit to Java Indonesia Destination.

Java Coffee brougrht by Dutch in 17th century and now very popular in java, also in all of Indonesia and has been exported in most of country in the world. Java Coffee has been gone to International. The coffee agricultural systems found on Java have changed considerably over time. A rust plague in the late 1880s killed off much of the plantation stocks in Sukabumi, before spreading to Central Java and parts of East Java. The Dutch responded by replacing the Arabica firstly with Liberica (a tough, but somewhat unpalatable coffee) and later with Robusta. Today Java's old colonial era plantations provide just a fraction of the coffee grown on the island, although it is primarily the higher valued Arabica variety. (source : wikipedia)

The most favourite java coffee, Arabica, production is centered on the Ijen Plateau, East Java , at an altitude of more than 1,400 meters. The others five largest estates are Blawan (also spelled Belawan or Blauan), Jampit (or Djampit), Pancoer (or Pancur), Kayumas and Tugosari, and they cover more than 4,000 hectares.

At their best, they are smooth and supple and sometimes have a subtle herbaceous note in the aftertaste. Java is also a source of kopi luwak, renowned as the most expensive coffee in the world. On Java, this variety is produced by feeding captive palm civets with ripe coffee cherries. The digestive tract of the civet removes the mucilage from the coffee beans.

Arabica Java Coffee is different from Yemen Coffee and other arabic coffee. It caused located of coffe plantation and how to produce best quality coffee. To keep original flavour of coffee and make more delicious and have high taste and pretigious, java coffee burn in the hearth with rubber tree. This coffee is prized as one component in the traditional "Mocha Java" blend, which pairs coffee from Yemen and Java. Some estates age a portion of their coffee for up to three years. During this time, the coffee is "monsooned", by exposing it to warm, moist air during the rainy season. As they age, the beans turn from green to light brown, and the flavor gains strength while losing acidity. These aged coffees are called Old Government, Old Brown or Old Java.

Beside Java, most Indonesia coffee with best flavour and high qyality can find in Bali, Toraja and Sumatra. Sumatra is known for its varied roasts. Among the most popular is the darker Arabica variety grown in Northern Sumatra. However, don’t shy away from another renowned type of coffee, the kopi luwak, which is produced mostly in the center of the small island—it’s made with droppings collected after little raccoon-like creatures have munched on the coffee beans. The Taman Simalem Resort is located northwest of Lake Toba right in the middle of Sumatra’s coffee-growing regions and offers a luxury look at coffee. The beans are harvested right on the property and tours are easily arranged through the property’s concierge.
