ImagePraburoro is a type of dramatic dance. This is influenced by Persian traditional. The word of Praburoro comes from the character of this performance whose name is Roro Rengganis. The stories that are performed come from the Panji, or the tale of Amir Hamzah, which is influenced by Islamic Persian stories. There are about 40 - 50 people who are involved in this performance. The players are divided into 3 groups.

The musical instrument is the gamelan of Java with slendro tone (a typical Javanese gamelan tone). Praburoro is a very unique presentation.  First of all, the dance is a Javanese dance. The costumes are modeled after the wayang (puppet) orang performance. The musical instrument is the Javanese gamelan. The songs are also Javanese. However, the songs can be the songs of the Banyuwanginese; such as Padang Ulan, Waru Doyong, Kembang Waru, etc. The story is about the conquest of a non-moslem country. The performance ends with the scene of the King that has been conquered by Menak Agung Jayengrono and Umarmoyo.

Characters from this performance are Rengganis, Umar Moyo, Lamtanus, dan Suwongso. Story began from Dewi Rengganis (Queen, Suwongso's wife) from Guparman Kingdom. Dewi Rengganis keep her self Virgin, allmost her husband can't making love with her. Umar Moyo know this secret so Dewi Rengganis very bahful and angry and then She leave the Kingdom and found new Kingdom in other place in Java.

Universally, Praburoro tell about Islamic in Jave for beginning. How Islam influence Javanese culture. Before Islam come to Java, Javanese embraced Hindu. Islam come with peace and influence many java's cultures.

Praburoro dramatical dance there are 21 stories, Imam Sejati, Umar Seketi, Menak Sopo Nyono, Mali Bari, Bedhahing Bangit, Praburoro, Putri Cino, Rengganis, Dandang Wincono, Umar Moyo Kembar, Umar Mantu, Subroto Kromo, Maktel Kembar, Subroto Rante, Cinde Kembang, Prabu Bantarangi, Joko Lelono, Suwongo Gugat, Angin Suseno, Samirono Sekso, dan Kusumo Maling.
