Jatropha curcas linn trees raised in East Nusatenggara have a big potential causing an Israeli investor Merhavv Group to decide to invest US$700 million in the province, an Indonesian entrepreneur said.
"East Nusatenggara is suitable for the raising of jatropha curcas linn so that Merhavv Group is ready to make a big-scale investment in biofuel producing plantations," Indonesian private firm PT Mahattan director Sudiro Andiwiguna said here Sunday. |

Sulut Expo 2007, an exhibition held by North Sulawesi provincial government in Jakarta's Semanggi Expo arena from September 1-5 will publicize a planning to hold the World Ocean Conference 2009, a governor said. North Sulawesi govenor SH Sarundajang at the opening of the Sulut Expo on Saturday said, the expo was among others aimed to promoting the province`s potentials of investment to the national and international businessmen. |

The Rinjani mountain has become one of the highlights of Lombok tourism and has long attracted visitors or climbers from both Indonesian and international tourists annually. Nowadays various facilities have been created to ease the climbers in accessing the volcano. Over 20 villages surround Rinjani and there are many routes up to the mountain, but the main access points are from Senaru in the north (starting point for climbing Lombok's famous volcano) or Sembalun Lawang and Sembalun Bumbung to the northeast (a slightly shorter route to the summit ). |
